Shiro's Gentle Sasara Kitchen Brush
Through deep rooted tradition and steadily honed skill, Tawashi style brushes are a prized tool made in Japan. Made from the fibers of the windmill palm, they have learned to procure materials harvested from trees cultivated in the Wakayama Prefecture, which yield bristles that are much softer than palm fibers grown in other regions of the world. Whether it’s to brush, buff or bath tawashi brushes offer utility and versatility. Despite their stiff appearances, the bristles are surprisingly gentle and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, making them excellent for scrubbing in the kitchen, perfectly textured to clean fruits and vegetables, and soft enough to use for bathing.
